Government of Tamilnadu has accorded GO.MS.No:- 373/PW (D2) dt. 27.06.1997 for the formation of new Building (C&M) Division, Ariyalur. Based on the above Government order, building (C&M) division, Ariyalur formed at Ariyalur. The above division, now under the Control of Building (C&M) Circle, Trichy. Ariyalur C&M) Division having the jurisdiction of two District ie. Ariyalur and Perambalur. It has three Sub divisions, Building (C&M) Sub Division, Ariyalur, Building (C&M) Sub division, Perambalur, and Building Construction sub Division, Perambalur. Ariyalur building C&M Sub Division, with 4 Sections ie. Building (C&M) Section I, Building (C&M) Section II Ariyalur, Building (C&M) Section at Jayankondam, and Building (C&M) Section, Sendurai.

Major Buildings Constructed by this office
Multi Government office complex Building at Ariyalur was Constructed for the Cost of Rs. 2.25 Crores in the year of 2006.
District Collectorate Building at Ariyalur was Constructed for the Cost of Rs. 12.88 Crores, in the year 2010,
Combined Court Building and Judicial Officers Quarters Building at Jayankondam in Ariyalur District was Constructed for the Cost of Rs. 24.86 Crores in the year of 2022.
In Major schools, Class rooms buildings and Science Lab Buildings was constructed through of the District for the various cost.
