Highways

Ariyalur district, traditionally has a strong industrial base which contributes substantially to the industrial production of Tamil Nadu. Formation of Road and Bridge infrastructure play a vital role in the development of key sectors of the economy like Industry, Technology, Agriculture etc. Highways Department administers the development road infrastructure in Ariyalur district.The objectives of the department are to maintain and improve the existing roads, such as State Highways, Major District Roads and Other District Roads in the District under the control of the State Government, and to provide better road connectivity with other places / districts.

Highways Department (Construction & Maintenance) Ariyalur division aims to develop and maintain the Highway network in the district and also ensures road safety and to cope with the future economic development of the state.

  6. Strengthening of Ariyalur – Subrayapuram road km 6/0- 9/6 including reconstruction of pipe culvert at km 6/2 and retaining wall at km 8/8 (Using Plastic Waste)
